This delicious and highly concentrated Elderberry Spice Syrup is made with warming, immune supporting, and antimicrobial herbs to help support yourself and loved ones during colds, flu, viruses, and seasonal changes.
Elderberry (Sambucus nigra) is traditionally used for it's immune supporting, antiviral, antioxidant, decongestant and anti-inflammatory qualities. High in Vitamin C, Elderberry has been used for preventing and treating cold and flu symptoms.
Echinacea is also known for its immune stimulating and antimicrobial properties.
Rose Hips also contain a high amount of Vitiman C and antioxidants, I add them to the cold infusion step of the syrup as not to damage these properties by high heat.
The warming spice mix of Cinnamon, Clove, Ginger, and a touch of Licorice all help warm up the body, reduce inflammation, and help expel any invading pathogen that is lurking in your system.
Local Raw Honey is soothing and helpful for sore throats and coughs, as well as giving this Syrup a sweet taste.
This syrup is great as is by the spoonful, or drizzled on pancakes, added to teas, used in cocktails, and mixed into smoothies. Get creative with it!
